Prof. Dr. Saldi Isra, S.H., MPA., a Law Professor at Andalas Universty, currently serves as one of Constitutional Justices at Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2017-2022 term. He earned his degrees from Andalas University (Bachelor Degree of Law), University of Malaya (Master’s in Public Administration), and Gadjah Mada Uiversity (Doctorate Degree of Law). While teaching at Andalas University, he was known to be a prolific writer, both in the media as well as national and international scientific journals.

Prof. Dr. Enny Nurbaningsih, S,H., M.Hum, a Law Professor at Gadjah Mada University, currently serves as one of Constitutional Justices at Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2018-2023 term. Previously, she served as Head of the National Law Development Agency (BPHN) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. She earned her degrees from Gadjah mada university (Bachelor Degree of Law and Doctorate Degree of Law) and Padjajaran University (Master Degree in Constitutional Law).

I Dewa Gede Palguna was born in Bali on December 24, 1961. A lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Udayana University (since 1988 to the present). 1999-2003: as a member of People Consultative Assembly representing Regional Delegation of Bali; 2003-2008 and 2015-2020: Justice at the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia.

Engin Yıldırım has been a justice at the Turkish Constitutional Court since 2010 and was the vice-president of the Court between 2015 and 2019. Before his appointment to the Court, he worked at the University of Sakarya. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Manchester.

Prof. Dr. M. Guntur Hamzah, S.H., M.H is a Law Professor in Constitutional Law at Hasanuddin University. Currently he serves as a Secretary General of Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia. He earned his degrees from Hasanuddin University (Bachelor Degree of Law), Padjajaran University (Master Degree in Constitutional Law) and Airlangga University (Doctorate Degree of Law).

Farid Sufian Shuaib obtained his LLB (Hons) from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and was immediately offered a teaching post at the Kulliyyah of Laws, IIUM in 1993. He completed his LLM from Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) and obtained his PhD in Law from IIUM. He received and completed research grants on administration of Islamic law, media law and constitutional law. He published widely in Malaysian and international journals. Among his books are Administration of Islamic Law in Malaysia: Text and Material; Powers and Jurisdiction of Syariah Courts in Malaysia; Constitutional Law of Malaysia: Text and Commentary; and Media Law in Malaysia published by LexisNexis, Pearson and WoltersKluwer respectively. He has been invited to visit and to deliver seminars in universities in England, Netherlands,Turkey and Indonesia. His writings are referred to in the judgments of superior courts in Malaysia. He was a Visiting Scholar at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) between February and March 2016.

He has authored eight books (for American and European publishers) and numerous articles on, mainly, geopolitics energy and technology. Prof. Muhammad Siddiq Armia, Ph.D is a Professor of Law at Faculty of Sharia and Law at State Islamic University (UIN) Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. His research interests are Constitutional Courts, Comparative Constitutional Law, and, Islamic Constitutionalism. Prof. Muhammad Ekramul Haque, PhD. is a Professor of Constitutional Law and Comparative Constitutional Law at the Department of Law, University of Dhaka, of which he is also an alumnus. He earned a Gold Medal for his academic achievements at the University. He did his PhD in Constitutional Law and International Law at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. He is the Coordinator of the Clinical Legal Education Programme and an Additional Director of the IQAC in the Faculty of Law. He acts as a resource person for the training of Judges and Government Officials in Bangladesh. He has published research articles on Constitutional Law, Human Rights and different issues of Muslim Family law in peer-reviewed law journals. He is the author of three books: Law of Contract, Muslim Family Law and Islamic Law of Inheritance. He has received many awards and scholarships, which includes: Monash Law Deans Award (Australia); Monash International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (Australia); Monash Graduate Scholarship (Australia); Scholarship by the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Finland. Dr. Kerstin Steiner is an Associate Professor at the Law School, La Trobe University and Senior Associate at CILIS as well as Associate at ALC both at the University of Melbourne. She specialises in Southeast Asian legal studies, and researches on the intersection of law, politics, economics and society, especially with regard to Islam. She has held numerous visiting positions (incl. Dr Dian A H Shah is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law, NUS. She completed her LL.M and SJD degrees at Duke University Law School, and prior to that she graduated with an LL.B from Warwick University. Her research interests span the fields of law and religion, comparative constitutional law, and human rights, and her work focuses on the interaction of law, religion, and politics in plural and divided societies. Dian is the author of Constitutions, Religion and Politics in Asia: Indonesia, Malaysia and Sri Lanka (CUP 2017) and the co-editor of a volume on Law and Society in Malaysia: Pluralism, Religion and Ethnicity (Routledge 2018). She has also published in the International Journal of Constitutional Law (I-CON), Oxford Journal of Law and Religion, and the Indonesian Journal of International and Comparative Law. She served as the Deputy Editor of the Asian Journal of Comparative Law (AsJCL) and the Editor of the AsJCL’s Special Issue on ‘Religion and Constitutional Practices in Asia’ (forthcoming, December 2018). Alfitri is an Associate Professor of Faculty of Sharia and Law, State Islamic University (UIN) Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda. He is a socio-legal scholar with formal training in Islamic law. He obtained LL.B. (Sharia) and M.A. in Islamic Law from UIN Sunan Kalijaga, LL.M. from the University of Melbourne, and Ph.D. Law from the University of Washington, where he was a Fulbright scholarship recipient. Assoc Prof Dr Khairil Azmin Mokhtar is a senior law lecturer teaching at Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws, International Islamic University Malaysia. He obtained PhD in Law from Aberystwyth University, Wales, United Kingdom. He has been teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students for more than 28 years in various law courses including constitutional law, administrative law, human rights, comparative constitutional laws. I am a lecturer at the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Dakwah at State Islamic University Raden Mas Said Surakarta. I earned my BA in Qur'anic Studies from the State Islamic University Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, and two MAs from the Centre for Religious and Cross-cultural Studies (CRCS) at Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta and the Department of Religion at Temple University, US. I earned my PhD from the Department of Religions and Theology at the University of Manchester, UK. My PhD thesis looks for theological basis for interreligious relationship from the early phase of Qur'anic interpretation (tafsir).
