I am a lecturer at the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Dakwah at State Islamic University Raden Mas Said Surakarta. I earned my BA in Qur'anic Studies from the State Islamic University Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, and two MAs from the Centre for Religious and Cross-cultural Studies (CRCS) at Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta and the Department of Religion at Temple University, US. I earned my PhD from the Department of Religions and Theology at the University of Manchester, UK. My PhD thesis looks for theological basis for interreligious relationship from the early phase of Qur'anic interpretation (tafsir). My research interest is on Qur'anic studies, interreligious dialogue, and sociology of religion.
